Tenants of Listening

One of the cornerstones of our work ethos at Family Best Care is listening. When it comes to care for yourself or a loved-one, you want to make sure that the person you’re seeking help from is listening intently to your needs and desires. That’s why all of our caregivers are trained on the following tenants:

Pay attention to what their needs are

All of our client relationships begin with an interview process where we get to know what the needs are, and how we can best serve. In many cases we’re able to offer all the help our clients need. In the case that their needs go beyond what we’re able to offer, we take the time to help fill in the gaps.

Listen to their priorities

During our interview process, we listen to the priorities of our clients, and aim our care at meeting that list of priorities. This list can be developed solely with the client, or with the client and whichever family members they choose.

Align their care care with their values

We show our clients that we respect them by aligning their care with their personal values. That is why our clients are made up of people from all walks of life with a wide array of religious, spiritual, and cultural values and backgrounds.
